As cookbooks go, this one is the wild card. In truth, the artistic Mom in your life may prefer you DON’T make her the Dali salad for Mother’s Day brunch. But what did you expect from Dali? Cole slaw? Try De Koonig’s Dutch Breakfast instead.

  1. Rina, this is just FABULOUS! What fun! I’m afraid I’m more of an abstract expressionist cake decorator myself, (think Pollock) and doubt I’d have the have the patience to pull off that Mondrian cake, but it looks yummy and the video was adorable. And the Dali salad – well, it includes tongue; so, no thank you!

      What a hoot! I ordered the NY MoMA cookbook this week – can’t wait to see what other wacky goodness is in there.

      A thought – could I fake the Mondrian cake with a couple of Sara Lee pound cakes and some food coloring?
